The EZ-Stream Wireless Audio Adapter is an innovative solution from
SMC for your Home Entertainment Center. The EZ-Stream 802.11g
Wireless Audio Adapter is UPnP-compliant, fast and easy to install,
and instantly connects to your existing 802.11b or 802.11g wireless
network. The SMCWAA-G features a large flip-up LCD Matrix display
and an infrared remote control for quickly selecting the audio
tracks or Internet music station you want. The SMCWAA-G gives you
the freedom to play the MP3, WMA (unprotectedgiprotected) music
files stored on your PC to any room of your home. You can specify
audio tracks or Internet radio stations as "Favorites" by the click
of a button, so with one menu you have quick and easy access to the
songs or stations you listen to most. In addition, support for
RHAPSODY Digital Music Server gives you access to ever growing
collection of music album and song tracks.
The SMCWAA-Gs UPnP functionality gives you the option to setup
multiple SMCWAA-Gs in each room of your home and everyone will
enjoy the freedom of listening to the content of their choice from
one PC! Simply connect the SMCWAA-G to your stereo system via
standard audio cables, load the Musicmatch Software from the EZ
Installation CD-ROM and add your audio content to the music
library. The Musicmatch Software is very easy to use and gives you
the tools necessary to fully manage, create, and play your audio
files. It has a built-in UPnP server which allows music to stream
from your networked PC to the SMCWAA-G for listening on your stereo
system. You can also set up more than one profile on the SMCWAA-G,
thus giving you the flexibility of connecting to different 802.11b
or 802.11g wireless networks.
For XP users, streaming your audio files from your PC is made easier
with Windows Media Connect. Just download Windows Media Connect and
enable the folder with audio files stored on your PC to share and
you can start enjoying your music.
If you have already installed Musicmatch software, simply enable the
UPnP Server option on the Musicmatch and plug in your SMCWAA-G.
Then sit back, relax, and enjoy digital, high-quality sound
virtually anywhere in your home through your stereo system.
