FEATURES- Serial/Parallel Reversible Converter
The SXP500 allows Centronics and RS-232 devices to communicate with
each other via serial to parallel or parallel to serial conversion.
Simple DIP Switch settings establish the flow direction, serial
transfer parameters, etc. The serial baud rate can be set from 1200
to 115,200 bps., with support for both hardware and software
(XON/XOFF) handshaking. The parallel interface speed is 92.16
Kbytes/sec. The SXP500 provides a DB-9 RS-232C (DCE) compatible
connector attached to a 1.8m cable at one end, and a C-36
Centronics connector integrated on the unit body. This design
allows the serial and parallel devices to be connected directly
(provided they are located close enough to each other), without the
need for additional cables.
