The Dual I/O features simultaneous and independent operation of both serial ports. The Dual I/O's 16550 UART's gives your serial peripherals optimum performance under Microsoft Windows. Built-in buffers support a continuous data stream from high speed peripherals such as digital cameras, 56K modems and ISDN modems. Socket's High-Integration Serial (HIS) chip reduces chip count to improve reliability and reduce power consumption. Uses only 5 mA in standby mode compared to over 100 mA for other serial cards. Works with Windows 9x and Windows CE platforms. Socket also offers Card Services software for Windows NT 4.0 and a PC Card direct enabler for MS-DOS.
