110220VOLTS SCHOLARSHIP ESSAY CONTEST
110220volts.com is pleased to announce we will be holding an “110220volts.com National Scholarship Contest”. The essay winner selected will receive a $1000 scholarship. The founders of 110220volts.com believe in the power of an education and would like to help one lucky student in their educational path.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Any current, full-time student of an accredited four-year American university or college is welcome to apply. Study abroad students encouraged. There is no age requirement.
HOW TO APPLY:
1. Write a 500-word essay on the following topic: How do you feel traveling abroad, or studying abroad will/has affected you, and will be beneficial to you after you graduate.
2. Email your essay in a PDF or Word format along with a signed content contribution agreement to scholarship@110220volts.com.
3. Submissions must include your full name, email, personal bio, the school you will be attending, major and graduation date. Also the Content Contribution Agreement
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION:
The essay submission deadline is 12:00 midnight, EST July 1st, 2016 for fall semester.
AWARD AMOUNT:
One award of $1000 will be awarded annually for the spring semester cycle. One recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship to the institution of their choice. The scholarship will be sent directly to the school’s financial aid office.
SELECTION PROCESS AND NOTIFICATION:
Essays will then be reviewed by the 110220VOLTS scholarship team and the winner will be announced on August 31st, 2016.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
The scholarship funds awarded are to be used for tuition, books or study abroad costs. Once awarded, a check will be written to the recipient’s enrolled school and credited for academic costs. The scholarship is non-renewable and is only good for one-semester cycle. Recipients are only eligible to receive the scholarship once during their lifetime.
